CSDS At Galance:
CSDS is a national humanitarian organization established in 2011, based at kamber-shahdadkot, Sindh and registered in Sindh. CSDS registered in Sindh under voluntary social welfare act 1961 on dated July 23rd 2011 (Having registration No : Do/SW/KAK/71 SW-kamber-shahdadkot Sindh ) CSDS is also registered with Sindh Charities Registration & Regulation Commission (Registration) CSDS is one of the few young people-centered organizations that grew within the local community of kamber-shahdadkot Sindh and expanded its geographical outreach from one district to other districts Kamber-shahdadkot,Larkana & Dadu.
GOVERNANCE:
1. The top management of Center for Sustainable Development Society-CSDS consists of three entities – the General Body, Board of Directors and the Management. The general body of the organization consists of 50 members with diverse professional background like financial, social, educational and business. The general body sets overall organizational directions, approve organizational strategy and select/elect board of directors
2. The Board of directors BOD is at the centre of the governance. It consists of 07 members (06 Male and 01 female) CSDS Board is over all responsible for the smooth functioning of organization day to day work. The board responsibilities are as under:
3. Assessment of Organizations activities:
Board members regularly evaluate and assess the working of the organization, through reports and discussions. Based on the assessment, the board members suggest revision, modification and restructuring of current projects and programs.
4. Establishing Policies:
Board members draft policies and protocols for the smooth functioning of the organization. These policies may be related to human resource management, communication, fundraising, administration and procurement etc.
5. The Financial Health of the Organization:
The board is responsible for ensuring that the organization utilizes the funds judiciously and remains financially secure. Board members develop a comprehensive financial policy to achieve accountability and transparency.
6. Anual Budget and anual work plan:
Board members develop and approve budget on an annual basis. Based on the approved budget, a work-plan is drafted to carry out various activities as per the budget.
7. Representation:
Board members are the face of the organization. They represent and promote the organization in various events and functions. Chairman of the board carries several responsibilities and as the leader of the board, it is his/her duty to accomplish the organization’s mission and vision.

CSDS MANAGEMENT


The management consists on the CEO of the organization and all program heads, the role of management to execute the decisions of Board of Directors and Implement program or the organization. It reviews the progress of all projects and activities and set direction for the field staff. Currently CSDS have 07 members in management including the CEO, manager Finance, program, MEAL, Admin and logistics, Procurement and HR. out of the 07 members 03 are female members who are the head of MEAL, HR and Program departments.

LEGAL STATUS


Registration in Sindh
CSDS is registered under voluntary Social Welfare agencies registration and control act 1961 with Social Welfare department Sindh, registration number DO/SW/KAK/71 dated 23-07-2011.
PDMA/DDMA Registration
CSDS is enlisted organization with PDMA Sindh (The letter is attached) and have registration and NOC from PDMA/DDMAs. NOCs
CSDS have working NOCs in district kamber-Shahdadkot.
FBR Compliance
CSDS is registered with FBR and is active tax payer in the list. CSDS have tax return certificate of tax year 2022.

Center for Sustainable Development Society-CSDS

The 13 years of community development experience and growth of CSDS as an autonomous body has laid to develop complete systems and code of conducts. It has the following Section to operate and function as per their responsibilities.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (PMES)
Strong Monitoring and Evaluation System is available in Center for Sustainable Development Society. Every year annual operational plan is designed in the month of December to plan all the activities to be implemented in the year. The detailed planning reflects the roles and responsibilities against each milestone/activity. This Annual operational plan is prepared by the M&E Section of CSDS and circulated for the inputs and the feedback. The final plan is presented before the board for approval. CSDS M&E section tracks the progress of the activities planned in the proposed year.
Quarterly planning is also the part of regular monitoring exercise. Quarterly meeting is called at the end of every quarter to discuss the progress. Likewise the progress of all four quarters is discussed and monitored regularly.
At the end of every year, annual meeting is done. This meeting is proposed to see the overall progress of CSDS in the year and future planning.
Other M&E related events also occur in CSDS. Preparation of log frame, M&E framework is the regular exercises conducted. There are arrangements for the Midterm and final evaluation as well.
A full M&E section is available in CSDS including M&E Manager, M&E Officer and database officer. Financial Monitoring
CSDS maintains its accounts in the standards format and makes these transparent and open for the public inspection. It has audited its accounts it is established. It appoints Chartered Accountants every year as its auditors.

GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

CSDS has board of seven members and governed by them independently. The governing board provides strategic leadership to CSDS. They meet three times in a year for preparing strategies for the development of organization. CSDS seeks services of auditors for conducting external evaluation of the organization. The executive director of CSDS looks after the operational management of organization. The executive director is supported by director of the organization. The executive director is also supported by the finance and administration team and program management team.

There are three persons who serve CSDS as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and learning (MEAL) team. The operational management of the organization is looked after by Executive Director of the organization. The director also serves as secretary to the board. The Executive Director is supported by finance and administration team and program management team. The organization also has Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) section. CSDS has ten full time and part staff members. The organization chart below explains governance and management structure of the organization.
